What's Kraken?

You're sitting at the local tavern when an uneasy feeling settles in your stomach. An unnerving silence works its way across the room, disturbing the other patrons. At least you aren't imagining things, you think to yourself.

The tavern is a stone's throw from the docks, where the source of the anxiety can be found. A giant slimy green tentacle slowly works its way up the pier. It lurches into the air without warning and slams down on the gangway, causing it to explode into splinters.

The screams of sailors and the subsequent commotion make their way to you, interrupting your drink. You grimace at the realization that life is, once again, about to become a lot more interesting.
